Astro Cat Privacy Policy
Version of 26 October 2026.
This page says in plain words what the Astro Cat app does with your data. If something in the app changes, we will correct this text first.
In short
- Your profile, birth date, readings, dreams and chats with the cat are kept only on your phone.
- When you ask the cat for a reading, the calculation and your text pass through our server to the provider of the language model. We do not record your text.
- The server keeps little: a random installation number, counters of the cat's answers, paws and the Star Cat period, purchases, the date you confirmed your age, your requests to support, an address for notifications and a technical log. No texts of what you ask the cat.
- Payments are taken by a payment service (the till): your card and bank details do not reach us.
- The app has no accounts, no advertising and no third-party analytics. We do not ask for your e-mail or phone number.
1. Who is responsible for the data
The app is published by IRONSTACK LABS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17350174. Address: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, England.
You can write to us right in the app: Profile → Support, and the answer comes to the same place. Or in the Astro Cat bot in Telegram (Write to support), or by e-mail: support@ironstack-labs.com.
2. What stays on your phone
The app does its calculations on your phone. Only there are kept:
- the name, date, time and place of birth — yours and those of people you added for compatibility;
- the cat's readings, the history of spreads and dreams, the dream diary;
- your chats with the cat;
- settings and records of practices (affirmations, meditations, askesis), moves in the games.
The phone also shows how many of the cat's answers are left and how many paws you have, but the server counts them (section 4).
If Android backup is switched on in your phone, a copy of the app's data may lie in your Google account, under its settings. We have no access to it.
When you tap "Share", the app prepares a picture or a short text on your phone and hands it to the app you chose. We do not receive them.
3. What passes through our server to the model
Readings and chat replies are written by a third-party provider's language model — in the app it is called "the Astrocat model". When you ask for a reading or write to the cat, the app sends a request to our server, the server passes it to the model's provider and returns the answer.
The request carries:
- calculated data — the signs and houses of the planets, aspects and transits, numerology numbers, the cards and runes drawn, the language of the answer. For a natal chart reading the planets' positions are sent to a tenth of a degree;
- what you wrote yourself — a question to the cards or runes, a description of a dream and the feelings you marked, chat messages together with the latest messages of the same conversation, the text of your own affirmation when you share it.
Your name and your date, time and place of birth are not sent in requests. But the date and time of birth can be worked out from exact planet positions, so we treat these calculations as carefully as personal data.
What happens to a request:
- the server checks your text automatically against the app's rules (abuse, prohibited topics, spam, unrelated tasks). It does not record the text itself — neither in a database nor in a log;
- the provider receives the request from our server, not from your phone: without the installation number and without your network address. Under the provider's published rules requests may be kept by it for up to 30 days to guard against abuse and are not used to train models by default;
- the answer returns to your phone and is kept there. One exception is the natal chart reading: the server keeps its text, not tied to an installation, so that the same chart gets the same reading back.
Free text goes to the model's provider as it is. Please do not write other people's names, contact details or anything you are not ready to share.
4. What our server keeps
- Installation number. A random number the app makes when it is first opened, and the public key your phone signs its requests with. It is needed to tell one installation from another without an account. The number is not taken from the device and is not an advertising identifier.
- Age confirmation. The date on which you confirmed that you are 18 or older. Neither your age nor your birth date.
- Paws and the cat's answers. How many paws the installation has and how they came and went — in one word and a number, with a date (a gift, a purchase, an answer of the cat); how many free answers and answers under the subscription were used in each section in a day, a week, a month or the trial. Sections and numbers — no texts of questions or answers.
- Star Cat and purchases. Until which day the subscription lasts. For each order — the product, the sum, the currency, the dates, the payment's state, the payment's number at the till, whether it was bought as a present, and the gift code itself until it is entered. A mark if a payment was disputed through a bank.
- Gift codes. An irreversible fingerprint of the code (the code itself only until it is handed to the buyer), its term, which installation entered it, and how many failed attempts to enter a code an installation made in a day.
- Requests to support. Your messages and our answers, the topic, the app's version, the phone's model, the installation's number and code. If you complain about an answer of the cat and attach its text yourself — that text too. Requests from the Telegram bot — section 14. Letters to our e-mail are kept in the company's mailbox, not on the app's server.
- Notifications. The address a signal can be sent to for your phone (a token of the notification delivery service), the difference between your time and universal time, the time of the morning message if it is on, the days a reminder of an askesis may be needed, and the day a gentle reminder after the trial may come. If you agreed to receive "Gifts and offers" — the day you agreed, the number of the question's wording you answered, and the day you withdrew. The phone composes the notification's text itself; the server does not have it.
- Request counters. How many times a day an installation and its network address asked the cat — in the server's memory, for the daily limits. Next to the installation number the server keeps the day it first reached the server, the last day it asked the cat, how many readings and messages to the cat there have been in all, and how many requests the server did not let through past the limits — numbers, no texts. The network address is not written to disk.
- Support's decisions. If we have limited an installation's access to the cat or its daily limit — for breaking the rules or at your request — a mark of it, how long it lasts and the reason in one word from a list. What support did with the installation — gifted paws or days of the subscription, moved purchases, limited access — in one word and a number, with a date.
- Technical log. The time of a request, the section, the result of the automatic check in one word, and the model's usage. The texts of requests and answers and network addresses are not in the log.
- Network address (IP). The server sees it, as any site does, and holds it in memory only: to limit requests that come too often and to count the daily limit. An address gets into the log only if it has exceeded the allowed rate of requests; such an address is blocked for a while.
5. What we do not collect
- there are no accounts, logins or passwords in the app;
- we do not ask for your e-mail or phone number;
- the app does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files;
- there is no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics in the app.
6. Who receives the data
We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising. It is received only by contractors who process data on our instructions — each to the extent its task needs:
- the language model's provider — the calculated data and your text, to check it and write the answer (section 3);
- the notification delivery service — the address for notifications and a signal with no content, on which the phone shows a notification;
- the hosting provider our server is rented from — what the server keeps (section 4);
- the e-mail service (Google Workspace) — the letters you send to our e-mail and the address they came from;
- the payment service, when you buy something in the app or in the Telegram bot — the order's number, the sum and the product's name; the payment service receives from us neither the installation number nor your Telegram number. You enter your card and bank details on its page; they do not reach us (section 10);
- Telegram — when you write to the bot, the chat goes through Telegram under its rules (section 14).
Data may be disclosed on a lawful demand of a court or a public authority — only as far as necessary.
7. How long the data is kept
- on your phone — until you delete it in the app or delete the app itself;
- requests to the model — not kept by us; by the model's provider — up to 30 days;
- the installation number, its counters, paws, the subscription's period and support's decisions, the age confirmation and the address for notifications — while the installation is in use or until you ask us to delete them;
- orders in the app — as long as accounting and possible refunds require; if you ask us to delete your data, the orders stay with no link to the installation;
- requests to support, including those from Telegram — 90 days after a request is closed;
- letters to our e-mail — while they are needed for the answer; you can ask us to delete the correspondence at any time;
- orders of gift codes in the bot: the Telegram number and the payment's number — 30 days, after which only the sale's details remain, not linked to you;
- the technical log — overwritten as it fills up.
8. How to delete your data
- On your phone: Profile → Settings → Clear data → "Delete all my data". Or simply delete the app. The mark of your age confirmation stays after clearing.
- On the server: write to support from the app (Profile → Support) or to support@ironstack-labs.com — we will delete your installation's records within 30 days. From the app the installation's code comes with the message; in a letter give it yourself — it is shown in the profile. Without the code we cannot find the records. The days of Star Cat and the paws left are deleted together with the records — they cannot be brought back afterwards.
- A request from the Telegram bot can be deleted at your word in the bot itself — we delete it together with the chat's number.
9. Age
The cat's answers written by the model, and purchases, open only after you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data of minors. If you know that a person under 18 has confirmed the age, write to us.
10. Payment
Purchases in the app (in Russia) and gift codes in the Telegram bot are paid for on the page of a payment service. You enter your card and bank details there; they do not reach us. The payment service receives from us the order's number, the sum and the product's name, and we receive from it the payment's state, its sum and its number. What we keep of purchases — section 4, for how long — section 7. The payment service processes a payment under its own rules.
11. Security
- the connection between the app and the server, and between the server and its providers, is encrypted (HTTPS);
- every request is signed with the installation's key, which does not leave the phone;
- the server does not keep the texts of your questions, dreams and chats;
- data on your phone is protected by Android and your screen lock: whoever can unlock the phone can open the app as well.
12. Your rights
You can find out what data about your installation we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, and switch notifications off in your profile at any time. Write to support or to support@ironstack-labs.com — we will answer within 30 days.
13. The app's site
The site uses no cookies and no third-party analytics, and its visit log is switched off. In your browser the site remembers only the language you chose and that you have seen the note about it. If you choose "Don't remember" in that note, the site keeps nothing longer than the tab is open.
14. The Telegram bot
The Astro Cat bot in Telegram tells about the app, sells gift codes of the subscription and takes requests to support.
- Requests to support. If you write to support through the bot (Write to support, or a reply to a message from support), the server keeps your messages, our answers, the topic and your Telegram chat's number — so that the answer reaches you. This is kept while the request is open and 90 days after it is closed; a request deleted by support goes at once, with the chat's number.
- Anything else you write to the bot we do not keep. The bot remembers your Telegram's language only in memory, while it runs.
- When you buy a code, our server keeps the order: your Telegram account's number, the code's term, the price, the date, the payment's state and the payment's number at the till. The Telegram number and the payment's number are deleted after 30 days — they are needed for questions about a payment and for refunds. Only the sale's details remain, not linked to you. No name, nickname or messages are kept.
- The code itself is kept on the server only until the bot has sent it to you. After that only its irreversible fingerprint remains: the app will check the code by it when you enter it.
- Payment is taken by a payment service (the till). You enter your card on its page; those details do not reach us. The till receives from us the order's number and the sum.
- Telegram is a separate service with its own rules: what it keeps of your chat with the bot is up to it.
15. Changes
When the app or the law changes, we update this text and set a new version date. The current version is always published on this page.
